The course gives students the creative and technical knowledge and skills they need to become professionals in the fashion industry. Using an integrated approach, it takes students from design concepts and processes through to final production. Exploratory and experimental projects enable students to develop an in-depth understanding of fashion design. With a strong foundation in technical proficiency and a good eye for market trends, students are able to start honing their individual styles and identities through their collections.
Course Introduction
The curriculum of the programme will be delivered in a mix of teaching tactics ranging from lectures, demonstrations and seminars to tutorials and various assessment methods including assignments, presentations, research and development, projects, quiz and examinations. Throughout the programme, emphasis will be put on the fundamental conceptual abilities and aesthetic sensibilities of the students. The main objective of the programme is clearly about enabling students to develop basic tools that will be effectively used in the field of fashion and fashion marketing.
